In case you’ve never been, or have been planning to go this year, the St. Paul Winter Carnival is taking place this week. This is a great family friendly event that embraces winter in some unique, fun and educational ways.Signature events include ice carving competitions and displays, an ice palace, music, parades, a beer dabbler, ice bar, winter run, winter disc golf and much more!
“The Saint Paul Winter Carnival attracts over 250,000 visitors a year and has an approximately $3.5 – $5 million dollar economic impact to the city of St. Paul and the State of Minnesota.” – (wintercarnival.com)
In an ironic turn of events, some of the Winter Carnival’s events were cancelled today (Tuesday) due to the snowstorm, but we do know for certain that organizers are rescheduling the Frozen Family Fun Night for Thursday, Feb. 4 from 5-8 p.m. in Rice Park.
Easily accessible by light-rail near The Portland Tower, The St. Paul Winter Carnival ends next Sunday, February 7th so you still have plenty of time to go check it out!
